CRCT Scores for NW Georgia Districts

The numbers are in and school districts are pouring over the numbers of this year's Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests.
We took a closer look at the results for schools in Northwest Georgia. In the Eighth Grade Reading Tests, of the schools in our viewing area, Dade County saw the biggest drop from 2009 to 2010 with three percent. Whitfield County students saw the biggest jump in that category with five percent.
But, in the Eighth Grade Math Tests, Whitfield County students scores dropped by four percent the largest percentage. Scores from Murray County showed the most improvement with a nine percent jump in Math in the last year.
Catoosa County is the only district in our area to surpass the state average in both Reading and Math.
